The series is back with season 6 which is proving to be better than ever.

When can I watch Homeland season 6 in the UK?
Homeland returned to our screens on Sunday January 22.
It wasn’t on the weekend of February 20, but will return to its usual 9pm slot on Channel 4 on Sunday February 26 with episode 5.

What is Homeland?
Homeland is an American political thriller television series developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa
It is based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War (Original Hebrew title Hatufim, literally "Abductees"), which was created by Gideon Raff.
The series stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder.
The series has received several awards, including the 2012 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, and the 2011 and 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama, as well as Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Claire Danes, respectively.
What can we expect from Homeland season 6?
The new series picks up several months after the terrorist attack at Berlin's Hauptbahnhof Station which we saw in the finale of season five.
Carrie Mathison is back on US soil in the wake of the new President having been elected, working to provide aid to the Muslim community in America.
Channel 4 explained: "Fifteen years after the 9/11 attacks, Carrie, along with the country's counterterrorism apparatus, is still coming to grips with the ramifications and responsibilities of balancing security and civil liberties.
"This season follows the different competing interests and complicated motivations that are revealed during the transition of power that takes place in the seventy days between incoming and outgoing administrations, and the individuals tasked with protecting western lives and values."
Who are the Homeland cast and characters?
Claire is the central character and plays Carrie Mathison.
The 37-year-old actress is known for the cult teen drama My So Called Life, as well as movies Romeo and Juliet and Stardust.
Rupert plays Peter Quinn, who is a CIA paramilitary officer.
Rupert is also known for his roles in Pride & Prejudice and the Young Victoria.
Mandy plays Saul Berenson who is Carrie Mathison's mentor and to some extent, protector at the CIA.
He is also known for being in the Princess Bride and Dick Tracy.
F. Murray Abraham
Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham plays Dar Adal, a black ops specialist and old friend of Saul.
The American won his Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of composer Antonio Salieri in the 1984 flick Amadeus.
He's appeared in dozens of other films and TV series including Scarface, Kojak and Louie.
Are new stars joining Homeland for the season 6?
New stars for the sixth season include Hill Harper (best known for CSI: NY) who joins as a staff member in the White House.
Also new is Canadian Patrick Sabongui (The Flash) who plays a law professor and advocate to the Muslim-American community.
Finally, there's Elizabeth Marvel (True Grit; Burn After Reading) who has been cast as President-elect Elizabeth Keane.
