What's on TV Tonight! (Sunday 10/18/15)

What to watch on Sunday, October 18...

8pm, ABC
Once Upon a Time
Thanks to intelligence from Lancelot, Mary Margaret discovers that the gang’s primary threat may be Arthur (I know it’s crazy, but it’s true). Elsewhere in “The Broken Kingdom,” Hook’s love could be the key to pulling Emma back from the brink, even as Dark Emma lets loose a diabolical secret weapon in Storybrooke.

8pm, Fox
The Simpsons
In “Halloween of Horror,” Homer and Lisa run afoul of seasonal retail employees through some series of shenanigans I’m still not sure I fully understand. Perhaps guest stars Nick Kroll andBlake Anderson can offer a clearer explication.

8pm, PBS
Home Fires
Claire makes a date with Spencer, Pat makes a speech, and Alison makes good a bill—but all of them may face unexpected consequences.

8:30pm, Disney
Girl Meets World
“Girl Meets Texas, Part 3” caps the three-day odyssey with Riley, Maya, and Lucas dealing with the aftermath of their southern sojourn.

8:30pm, CBS
Madam Secretary
Those pesky Ruskies are up to their old tricks in “The Rusalka,” what with the Russian government giving Elizabeth and the administration headaches, and with Dmitri being abducted and interrogated about spying for the Land of the Tsars.

8:30pm, Fox
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Jake and Holt team up to foil a serial killer in “The Oolong Slayer,” which I’m sure will reveal just how much Hannibal the Brooklyn Nine-Nine writers watched during the off-season. In less grim and gritty proceedings, Rosa and Amy must answer to an old adversary while Terry finds something new to love.

Bob’s Burgers
The Belchers get the too-rare call-up into primetime just in time for a Halloween episode, traditionally one of their moments to shine. “Hauntening” sends them to a haunted house after Louise avers that she’s never once known the icy grip of fear. Spookiness, no doubt, ensues.

9pm, AMC
The Walking Dead
Things appear to be settling down, but then instead, things go very badly, in “JSS.” I could probably leave that logline in this spot and just swap out the episode title every week for the rest of the season, couldn’t I?

9pm, Showtime
While Carrie revisits her past along with Jonas in “Super Powers,” Quinn is on the trail of his latest quarry.

9pm, HBO
The Leftovers
In “Off Ramp,” Laurie works on a book that will cast light on the horrors of the Guilty Remnant, while Tom infiltrates the cult in an effort to help people escape.

9pm, PBS
Indian Summers
The viceroy’s arrival is greeted with all due pomp and a proportionate accompaniment of circumstance. In less regal goings-on, Ralph finds that critical evidence has up and vanished, Aafrin acts quickly to protect his loved ones, and Sarah learns another piece of Alice’s shadowy backstory.

9:30pm, CBS
The Good Wife
As Alicia and Lucca put their heads together on a complex case involving a dealer of designer drugs, Eli convinces Alicia and Veronica to put their heads together on a mother-daughter cooking show. One of these plotlines in “Cooked” will end in zany disarray, and I shall leave y’all to figure out which.

9:30pm, Fox
The Last Man on Earth
It’s Phil to the rescue in “C to the T,” redeeming himself so that he may un-redeem himself afresh yet again. The circle of sitcom life rolls on.

10pm, Showtime
The Affair
Noah’s love for Alison proves more fraught with peril than, say, his love for a really nicely toasted panini. Alison’s dealing with her own romantic ramifications, as she learns something surprising about marriage.

10pm, ABC
Alex reconsiders her commitment to Quantico Motion during a hostage rescue training exercise in “Kill.” Future Alex, meanwhile, unearths a clue that may implicate one of her closest classmates.

10pm, HBO
Project Greenlight
Jason and the crew prepare to shoot the most expensive scene so far, a wedding rehearsal dinner that must be captured during the fleeting window of dusk. In other production quandaries, Effie puts her nose to the grindstone to help Jason execute a tricky car-crash scene.

Doll & Em
One more last-minute rewrite throws opening night into turmoil, but gosh darn it, Dolly and Emily knew their play needed another laser-gun shootout and their muses shall not be denied!

Midnight, Cartoon Network
Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Magical Friendship
Another round of stop-motion hijinks starring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, perhaps Zatanna, Beast Boy might stop by, maybe Mister Mind if they feel like going really weird—lotta possibilities here, is the short version.

SEASON 5 PREMIERE, Midnight & 12:30am, AMC
Comic Book Men
No less an authority than Peter Mayhew judges the store’s wookiee call contest in “Wookiee Fever.” Then “Holy Zap Copter!” finds Mike piloting the Batcopter to commemorate his 15th anniversary at the Stash.
