What to Watch Tonight: The Season Premieres of The Flash, iZombie, and Finding Carter, and New Episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Grinder

What to watch on Tuesday, October 6...

12:01am, Hulu
The Mindy Project
When Mindy brings her baby to the office in “The Bitch is Back,” she learns that her new co-worker (Garret Dillahunt) has an aversion to both mother and child.

The Flash
Guilt-ridden over Eddie’ death, Barry vows to defend his hometown solo in “The Man Who Saved Central City.” But will an attack by Atom Smasher—and Iris’s efforts at talking sense into the boy—convince him to reassemble Team Flash? Or will S.T.A.R. Labs simply become Central City’s most high-tech bridge club?

8pm, CBS
“Incognito” finds Bishop and McGee going undercover as a married couple to investigate the murder of a marine at Quantico, who had called Gibbs about a possible case just hours before his untimely demise.

8pm, Fox
Gerald announces a surprise family beach outing in “Dad Face,” much to the consternation of the still-adjusting Jimmy. Instead, the reluctant new family man decides to bail in favor of a glitzy pool party nearby, and he ropes Gerald into coming along.

8pm, ABC
The Muppets
When Fozzie goes overboard in heeding Kermit’s advice in “Bear Left Then Bear Write,” it’s up toNick Offerman to save the day. Elsewhere, Miss Piggy’s show welcomes Christina Applegate, and Gonzo’s online dating woes warrant the intervention of love triangle veteran Liam Hemsworth, love rhombus veteran Rizzo, and love dodecahedron veteran Pepe.

8:30pm, ABC
Fresh Off the Boat
Louis plans a romantic evening with Jessica to celebrate their wedding anniversary, but their ideas of what constitutes “romantic” may not quite line up. Meanwhile in “Shaquille O’Neal Motors,” Evan and his comrades help Eddie acquire a hog-dog-shaped water slide.

8:30pm, Fox
The Grinder
With the firm in high demand, Dean and Stewart clash over what kind of case to tackle next in “A Hero Has Fallen.” In other professional problems, Dean motivates Debbie to try a new, hard-charging approach at work and it… does not go well.

Made cranky by an old curmudgeon’s gray matter, Liv pays a surprise visit to Blaine and follows up on an anonymous tip with Clive as “Grumpy Old Liv” kicks off the sophomore season. Meanwhile, Ravi fears that Major is suffering from a side effect of the cure.

9pm, ABC
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
To learn more about the strange Simmons-swallowing monolith, the team consults an Asgardian (presumably one not currently under contract to another network). Elsewhere in “Purpose in the Machine,” May finds herself at a crossroads.

9pm, Fox
Scream Queens
In the wake of Zayday’s announcement, Chanel concocts a fiendish plan. Meanwhile in “Haunted House,” Grace and Pete call on an enigmatic woman who has a history with Kappa, Denise keeps up her hunt for the Red Devil, and Dean Munsch pulls out all the stops to keep the university open.

Finding Carter
Carter learns the result of Lori’s trial in “Native Son,” and later decides to get to know her new brother Ben. In tenser affairs, David and Elizabeth quarrel after again being blindsided by Lori.

Beyond the Tank
Lori touches base with the creators of the Paintbrush Cover, Robert helps the inventors of Lollacup boost sales, and a gluten-free cookie brand that the Sharks passed on finds success nevertheless.

10pm, CBS
“The Legend of Marcos Ramos reunites Jake McDorman with his Manhattan Love Story co-starAnaleigh Tipton, and if you think it’s odd that I’m bothering to mention a reunion between the stars of a short-lived sitcom on another network that you already forgot existed, consider how odd it is that the darn CBS press release bothers pointing that out. Anyway, she plays Brian’s ex whose interest is reignited by his shiny new brain, which this week he’s using to find the killer of a retired fed.

10pm, BET
Real Husbands of Hollywood
Kevin uses one of this blind pilot commitments to launch a women-driven chat show in “Broad Talk.” His only condition is that Charmagne must be one of the panelists. Oh, and also like three pounds of green M&M’s backstage. Those are his two conditions, Charmagne and the M&M thing.

10pm, NBC
Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris
Shaquille O’Neal is the guest announcer, marking what our archivists tell me is the first time in What to Watch Tonight history that Shaquille O’Neal has been mentioned twice in one column.

10pm, FX
The Bastard Executioner
In “P. Profit / Proffidwyr Troeth,” Ventrishire greets a visit from the King’s right hand (special guest star Thing from The Addams Family). In other missions, Milus sends Wilkin in search of a valuable artifact.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Drunk History
“Games” examines how Milton Bradley made board games popular in America, paving the way for younger cousins to irritate the crap out of everyone in Monopoly for decades to come. Other chronicles of competition include Bobby Fischer besting Boris Spassky, and Roger Sharpe helping to overturn a pinball ban. Performers include Topher Grace, Zach Gilford, Taran Killam, and Jake Johnson.
