This three-part special co-produced by PBS and the BBC takes a live look at the thriving aquatic life in California’s Monterey Bay. Episode 1 promises a confluence of migrating whales, sharks, and birds joining full-time denizens including sea otters and sea lions. (And hey, unlike the wildlife on CBS these days, none of them are actively trying to murder us all! ....That we know of.) Parts two and three air tomorrow night and Wednesday night at 8pm.

Bay enrolls in a UMKC course, where her new classmates recall her from the assault investigation. Meanwhile in “How Does a Girl Like You Get to Be a Girl Like You,” Daphne navigates choppy waters both academically and romantically.

Guest star Bill Nye takes a break from all the science-ing to join in some wacky improv japery. Still, guest comic Greg Proops hopes they’ll get a chance to really dig into contemporary theories of quantum mechanics vis-à-vis the later work of Niels Bohr.

Shane leads a rebellion against the new principal’s Draconian approach in “Stripped.” Meanwhile, Amy suspects that Karma isn’t being entirely on the up-and-up.

In “Suffering & Succotash,” Lydia tries to keep her relationship with Jimmy under wraps when her disapproving mother drops by unexpectedly. Jimmy, on the other hand, sees his grandmother’s visit as a chance to prove himself/comically mess up an attempt to prove himself.

The team races to thwart the final phase of Drill’s dastardly designs in “Game Over.” Luckily their foe is only about 20 minutes into the standard villain monologue, so they’ve got a little time to get everything in place.
The Storm Makers examines the underworld of human trafficking in Cambodia, including the first-hand perspectives of both its victims and its perpetrators.
