What to Watch TONIGHT! - Narcos, Defiance, Dark Matter & More!

What to watch on Friday, August 28...

SERIES PREMIERE, 12:01am Pacific, Netflix

Pablo Escobar builds his cocaine empire in this 1980s-set drama from director/producer José Padiha, which sadly does not star Vinnie Chase. All 10 episodes are available today.

SEASON 3 FINALE, 8pm, Syfy
“Upon the March We Fittest Die” sends the team on a possible suicide mission to defuse the Omec threat, although if Nolan and Amanda completed everyone’s loyalty missions earlier in the season most of them should actually make it out alive.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 9pm & 10pm, Syfy
Dark Matter
A rescue mission on a remote world leads the team into devastating complications in the first of tonight’s back-to-back installments. Then the season finale finds secrets secreted, tensions intensifying, and traitors betraying.

9pm, PBS
Great Performances
The Vienna Philharmonic performs its Summer Night Concert 2015 at the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens. Selections from Edvard Grieg, Jean Sibelius, and Strausses both Richard and Johan are among the evening’s program.

10pm, Cinemax
Strike Back
Scott and Stonebridge must sneak into North Korea to destroy the vanadium, although inching across the DMZ while hiding behind potted plants is taking a lot longer than anticipated.
I imagine that on nights when all of the talkers are off, things get a little too crowded at the exclusive Late Night Hosts' Clubhouse. Kimmel getting irked because Fallon and Wilmore are hogging the Foosball table, that sort of thing.
