FX held a joint panel for several of its shows on Sunday at this year's Comic-Con hoedown in San Diego, even though none of their shows feature men in tights. But hey, they got guys ordering donuts, another guy adding his own spin on the infamous upside-down Spider-Man/Mary Jane kiss, and testosterone-rich giant-sword swinging.
First up is the Season 2 trailer for Fargo, which is like the best show on television now or at least very close to it. Season 2 premieres in September and warps back in time to 1979 to cover the violent incident that Lou Solverson (Keith Carradine in Season 1, Patrick Wilson in Season 2) referenced several times in Season 1. But it's nice to know that even decades ago, the presumed sleepy town still had its share of goofy criminals.
Our first look at Kurt Sutter's newest series The Bastard Executioner is prototypical Sutter. Screaming dudes, dead bodies, and Katey Sagal are all present in this trailer for the period drama about a knight who becomes a de-header for King Edward I.
One of 2014's best new comedies returns and makes the move over to FXX from FX, but it will stay as dysfunctional and perverted as always, according to this trailer. In it, Jimmy and Gretchen do their thing, presumably in the house that the LIVE TOGETHER in. I'm still getting over that fact from the Season 1 finale. Also, the trailer gives us a first look at long-awaited premiere date that's been so elusive.
