"Top 10 Live Eliminations"
The votes are revealed and two artists must perform in a musical face-off for a trip to the semifinals. Sia performs and Adam Levine sings with R. City.
The Top 10 artists return to the stage to learn the results of last night's votes. Eight singers will be assured a place in next week's semifinals - but for the two who received the fewest votes, it's do or die. They'll face off in a musical battle. Korin Bukowski has faced elimination for the past two Tuesdays and she looks to her coach, Gwen Stefani, for reassurance as she takes the stage with her cohorts. The tension is palpable.
The show starts with a bang, as Adam Levine joins R. City for a live performance of their new hit single, "Locked Away." And then it's down to business as Carson Daly reveals the names of six of the eight who are safe: Amy Vachal, Jordan Smith, Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Madi Davis and Jeffery Austin.
Before we learn the names of the last two singers to be saved, enigmatic singer Sia steps into the spotlight, wearing a giant black bow on her head. The Australian singer-songwriter stands at center stage to perform "Alive," the new single from her upcoming album. Sia leaves the stage and we learn that Zach Seabaugh and Shelby Brown have made the semifinals.
Korin Bukowski will indeed face her third straight instant elimination; her opponent will be 15-year-old Braiden Sunshine. The two Team Gwen singers retreat backstage to prepare for the biggest performances of their lives.
We return from break and watch Korin Bukowski take the stage, determined to win the Twitter battle for survival. She performs Colbie Caillat's "Try," infusing the song with every ounce of energy and emotion within her.
Braiden Sunshine steps up next; the teenager faces elimination for the first time. He pins his hopes on a Maroon 5 song, "Harder to Breathe." He delivers the song with passion and polish. His fate lies in America's hands now.
Carson returns with the artists to center stage, ready to announce the final decision. As the show comes to a close, the tweets are counted and the verdict is clear: Braiden Sunshine is headed for next week's semifinals!
