It's the final night of The Voice for Season 9 and the atmosphere is positively electric. Coaches Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton are dressed to the nines, looking to help celebrate a new champion. Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts, Jeffery Austin and Jordan Smith are all in the running.
The votes have been cast and counted and there is no more instant save. Tonight it's all about crowning a new champion and celebrating the season's artists. The producers have packed the show with performances. Here's a summary of the music:
The Top 4 kicks off the festivities on stage. Barrett, Emily Ann, Jordan and Jeffery join in on "Lean On" by Major Lazer.
After a commercial break, Barrett returns to the stage with his bring-back artist, Zach Seabaugh, to sing a duet of Randy Travis' "Forever and Ever, Amen."
Coldplay, led by lead singer Chris Martin, appears next, singing their latest, "Adventure of a Lifetime."
Coldplay is followed by a huge group performance. Celeste Betton, Darius Scott, Mark Hood, Nadjah Nicole and Regina Love all come together for a rousing, rollicking ride on the O'Jays' "Love Train."
Emily Ann Roberts grabs a mandolin and teams up with country and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs on his uptempo "Country Boy."
Emily Ann and Ricky are followed by another bring-back performance: this time Jeffery Austin duets with Madi Davis on Amy Winehouse's heartfelt "Tears Dry on Their Own."
Coach Pharrell Williams and his Season 9 mentor Missy Elliott take the stage next to perform their new collaboration, "WTF (Where They From)."
They're followed by a duet from Jordan Smith and Usher, a stirring take on Usher's "Without You."
Country heartthrob Sam Hunt has the next slot, appearing on a fiery stage set to sing his single "Break Up in a Small Town."
Next, Jeffery Austin and Tori Kelly take on her hit "Hollow."
They're followed by Barett Baber who takes the stage once again, this time to sing with Wynonna Judd on her hit "No One Else on Earth."
Hip-hop artist The Weeknd follows, singing a medley of "The Hills," "Earned It" and "Can't Feel My Face."
Next, Jordan Smith brings back several friends to sing Journey's classic "Any Way You Want It." Jordan's joined by Amy Vachal, Evan McKeel, Korin Bukowski, Mark Hood and Regina Love.
Emily Ann Roberts takes the stage next, assembling Ivonne Acero, Morgan Frazier, Nadjah Nicole, Riley Biederer and Shelby Brown to sing Rascal Flatts' "Summer Nights."
Then, superstar Justin Bieber tops the musical bill. Surrounded by no fewer than 16 dancers, the young singer performs his hit "Sorry."
And finally the moment of truth and triumph arrives. Carson Daly assembles the four finalists center stage: Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts, Jeffery Austin and Jordan Smith. With all appropriate drama, Carson announces the runners up, finally proclaiming that Jordan Smith is the new Voice champion!
The confetti cannons fire, the Season 9 trophy is presented and Jordan favors us with a reprise of his song from last night, "Climb Every Mountain."
