Starz's Ash vs. Evil Dead, a continuation of Sam Raimi's horror franchise, will debut on the most sugar-coated of all holidays, Halloween. The announcement was made at Comic-Con Friday evening during the series' panel.
Ash vs. Evil Dead brings back Bruce Campbell as Ash, the man with a chainsaw for an arm and one-liner machine for a mouth. Starz's version will consist of 10 half-hour episodes and follow Ash as he's called upon to hack up some Deadites once again. Joining Campbell this time around will be Lucy Lawless (Xena), which is pretty much the perfect bit of casting. Lawless plays Ruby, who blames Ash for the Evil outbreaks. Also starring in the series is Ray Santiago as Ash's loyal sidekick Pablo, Dana DeLorenzo as wild child Kelly, and Jill Marie Jonesas Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher, who has a personal vendetta against Ash.
