Solid night for Seven

A volatile episode of My Kitchen Rules, in which one contestant had a meltdown before the cameras, did its job in the ratings with a bumper 1.34m viewers.

The show was light years in front of the competition, 7:30 ranked second at 527,000 followed by The Graham Norton Show (which improved things for TEN slightly) and Planet Earth IIscreening in 4 cities.

Million Dollar Cold Case also did well for Seven with a double episode as high as 655,000 from 9pm.

Stargazing Live took a little dipper on its second night at 546,000 but was still enough to lead, save for MKR‘s playout. The Weekly aired in a later 9:30pm timeslot.

Nine’s night lacked much to get excited about but A Current Affair won its slot with a decent 858,000.

Seven network easily won the night with 34.0% then Nine 25.8%, ABC 17.3%, TEN 16.4% and SBS 6.5%.

My Kitchen Rules was #1 for Seven with 1.34m viewers then Seven News (984,000 / 947,000), Home and Away (691,000), Million Dollar Cold Case (655,000 / 560,000) and The Chase(615,000 / 371,000).

Nine News (992,000 / 969,000) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (858,000), Hot Seat(489,000 / 282,000), Planet Earth II (446,000 in 4 cities) and movie: San Andreas (384,000).

ABC News (723,000) led for ABC then Stargazing Live (546,000), 7:30 (527,000), Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery (467,000), The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (373,000), Lost in Pronunciation(235,000) and Pointless (229,000).

The Project (519,000 / 359,000) was best for TEN followed by The Graham Norton Show(465,000), TEN Eyewitness News (463,000), This is Us (388,000) and Family Feud (315,000). Madam Secretary was just 193,000.

On SBS it was 24 Hours in Emergency (224,000), Digging for Britain’s Secrets (198,000), The Night Manager (169,000) and SBS World News (131,000).

Shaun the Sheep showed up multichannels with 199,000.
