After quietly picking up the show for another 12 episodes earlier this year, MTV has set a return date for its overdramatic family drama Finding Carter. The Kathryn Prescott-led series will be back Tuesday, October 6 at 10pm, the network announced Wednesday during the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
Season 2 will pick up after the shocking revelation that Carter’s father had a secret son with Lori, and it's safe to say that Carter's world will once again be rocked by some shady parenting decisions. As she attempts to get to know her new brother, Carter will also have to figure out who she is and where she belongs. Don't ever let anyone tell you that being kidnapped as a child and then reunited with your birth parents after living with the kidnapper as your mother for years is easy! I guess all those difficulties is why Carter will ultimately decide to drop out of school (always the answer!) to become a bartender (be sure to ask about the health benefits!).
According to MTV, Carter will even introduce her circle to "a racy, underground party circuit" in Season 2, and I can only assume the network is referring to the bisexual night club that is currently home to some wayward chimeras on Teen Wolf, but I could be wrong.
Also during the network's TCA session, MTV released two trailers for the new seasons of its comedies Awkward. and Faking It, which premiere Monday, August 31 at 9pm and 9:30pm, respectively. Check them out below:
