Yesterday ABC and screen funding bodies acknowledged the achievements of Logie wins.
David Anderson, ABC Director of Television, said: “Congratulations to the ABC’s 2017 Logiewinners and to all of the 41 nominees this year.
“The ABC continues to strive to be the independent source of Australian content, stories and culture and there has never been a more important time to have strong Australian voices in media.”
CEO Graeme Mason saying: “Australian TV drama production was at a record high in 2015/16 and it’s fantastic to see such a diverse range of high-quality television productions enjoy success at this year’s Logie Awards. Congratulations to all the recipients, nominees and broadcasters who have brought these Australian stories to our screens.”
Film Victoria CEO, Jenni Tosi said: “It’s a thrill to have so many productions coming out of Victoria being recognised by their industry peers and the general public.
