What happens when "The Wolf of Wall Street" co-stars Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio, and rapper Q-Tip get together? A TV show gets made, of course. The trio have teamed to develop a scripted drama based loosely on Q-Tip's time as part of the Native Tongues rap collective in the 80s and 90s.
According to Deadline, the project will be produced by DiCaprio's production company and start looking for a network home soon. No writers have been hired for the project yet.
Q-Tip was affiliated with Native Tongues through his rap group A Tribe Called Quest. The series will focus on the friendship among the members and the influence their lyrics and music had on hip-hop as a whole.
