Thursday, December 22

Educating Joey Essex: What You Sleighing? (9pm on ITV2) Joey's on a quest to discover the true meaning of Christmas. He'll be put through his paces At Santa School to see if he can make it as a working Santa, before heading to Lapland to meet the man himself.

Christmas Eve – Saturday, December 24

Weekend At Christmas part 1/2 (8.25am on ITV) For the first of these two Christmas specials, guests Katherine Parkinson, Craig Charles and Mark Benton join host Aled Jones, while Pixie Geldof performs in the studio.

Blankety Blank Christmas special (6.30pm on ITV) David Walliams will be the host asking celebrities to help contestants fill in the missing words in a one-off special.

Birds of a Feather Christmas special (8pm on ITV) When Travis goes missing abroad the Birds head to Morocco to track him down only to find themselves embroiled in gangland affairs.

Grantchester Christmas special (9pm on ITV) Sidney (James Norton) and Geordie (Robson Green) are back for "a festive, snow-filled Christmas episode full of emotion and drama".

Through The Keyhole Christmas special (10.30pm on ITV) Join a festive Keith Lemon as he goes "fruit' Christmas keyole" of three celebrity homes.

Christmas Carols on ITV (11.45pm on ITV) Aled Jones joins the congregation of the historic St Chad's church in Rochdale, Lancashire for a traditional candlelight Christmas Eve carol service.

Christmas Day – Sunday, December 25

Weekend At Christmas part 2/2 (8.25am on ITV) Aled Jones is joined by Vaults, who'll be singing this year's John Lewis anthem, and chef Rosemary Shrager, who talks about the new series of The Real Marigold Hotel.

The Queen's Speech (3pm on ITV) The Queen makes her annual address to the nation and the Commonwealth.

Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs at Christmas (6.45pm on ITV) - Paul returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to bring some festive cheer to the canine residents - and hopefully find them new homes.

Maigret's Dead Man (9pm on ITV) Rowan Atkinson returns as the French detective jules Maigret, investigating both a brutal gang slaughter and the murder of an anonymous Parisian.

Tuesday, December 27

Pompeii with Michael Buerk (10.45pm on ITV) This one-hour programme will recreate ancient Pompeii as a photorealistic virtual city using historical expertise and cutting edge CGI.

Saturday, December 31

World Of Sport Wrestling (5pm on ITV) - making a historic and triumphant return to ITV for a one-off special, with an exciting mix of fast paced action and family fun for all.

Ninja Warrior UK (7pm on ITV) - more would-be champions tackle the extreme assault course... expect some huge triumphs and some epic fails!

Take Me Out: Celebrity Special (8pm on ITV) - famous faces including rugby star Thom Evans and Five's Ritchie Neville have to pick one lucky lady for a date on the isle of... Fernando's!

Monday, January 2

The Halycon - (9pm on ITV) - glamorous goings-on in this Downton-aping period drama starring Kara Tointon and Constantine's Matt Ryan, set in a plush hotel during WWII.

Thursday, January 5

Unforgotten - (9pm on ITV) - Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhasker are back to (literally) dig up another cold case in this compelling thriller.
