Her mother is from Ghana and her father is an American citizen. She moved to US when she was 4 and was raised by her mother in a suburb of Washington, DC.
Cynthia got her first role on television in The Education of Max Bickford. She made small appearances on television shows like Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, CSI: Miami, Numb3rs and Justice. She got her first recurring role on the ABC drama, FlashForward playing the character of a Debbie, a nurse. Addai-Robinson played Cataleya's mother Alicia in Colombiana. Her biggest role came when she was cast as Naevia in Spartacus: Vengeance. She played Aja on The Vampire Diaries, and most notably played Amanda Waller in the hit CW show, Arrow. She also recently played Emily West on Texas Rising, Dr. Vicki Glass on Chicago Med, and Marybeth Medina in The Accountant. Cynthia can currently be seen playing the role of Nadine Memphis on the USA TV series Shooter.
