Well this sounds interesting! Jean-Claude Van Damme, Mr. Muscles from Brussels, will star as an exaggerated version of himself in a new action comedy pilot for Amazon called Jean-Claude Van Johnson, says The Wrap. *throws money at his TV screen*
Damme will play Jean-Claude Van Johnson (obviously), an actor and martial-arts expert who comes out of retirement to resume his alter-ego, an undercover private contractor who kicks bad guys' butts. Johnson's first gig back in the game is in an action film version of Huckleberry Finn, which puts him back in danger and near his old flame, a fellow secret operative. This just sounds better and better with every syllable.
Of course the show still has to go through the pilot process in order to actually get made into a series, but given Amazon's history of throwing its pilots out to a panel of judges known as everybody, there's a good chance we'll get to see the first episode. After that, we will all rate it five stars and Amazon will have no choice but to give it to us.
If you don't know who Van Damme is then go jump out of a window. He's poked fun at himself before, specifically in the film JCVD, in which he played a down-on-his-luck actor who gets caught in the middle of a post-office robbery. Also, he starred in Bloodsport, which is the greatest movie of all time and I will fight you if you disagree.
Yes or HELL YES?
