One day after the network asked for additional scripts for its new Tuesday night comedies The Grinder and Grandfathered, Fox has ordered a full season of the crime procedural Rosewood, the network announced Friday. According to Fox, the series, which stars Morris Chestnut and Morris Chestnut's infectious smile as a private pathologist in Will Smith's favorite city, is averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the highly sought after 18-to-49 demographic. Across all viewing platforms, the first two episodes have reached 9.1 million viewers.
The series also stars Jaina Lee Ortiz as the Miami police detective Chestnut's character, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., assists in solving cases, though she continues to deny that they're partners in any way, shape, or form. Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, andDomenick Lombardozzi round out the regular cast.
