After just two episodes, Fox's new Frankenstein-inspired police procedural karaoke showcase series Second Chance is being banished to Friday nights, according to Deadline. The news snuck out quietly late on Friday.
In its first two outings, Second Chance drew a 1.2 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic and followed that up with a 1.0 the following week. Those numbers are disappointing considering Fox used American Idol as a launching pad for the series.
Old reliable Hell's Kitchen will take over Second Chance's Wednesday at 10pm slot starting this week, and Second Chance will air on Friday nights at 9pm starting January 29. After being paired with MasterChef Junior for one week for its season finale (go Avery!), the drama will get the much more appropriate time slot buddy Sleep Hollow, which returns from break on a new night, starting in February.
Second Chance stars Rob Kazinsky as the resurrected young hunk version of a dead, corrupt sheriff who helps his (now older) FBI agent son solve crimes and corruption and also uses his new blood to save a tech billionaire cure her cancer. Seriously, that's what it's about! And it was not very good.
What do you think of Second Chance so far?
