Eileen Bond is considering legal action over Nine’s upcoming miniseries The House of Bond.
The former wife of the late businessman, who was married to him for 37 years, took to Facebook to sla the bio-drama expected to air after Easter.
In the Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder drama actor Ben Mingay playing Bond menaces his then wife [played by Adrienne Pickering] with the prospect of having her killed for $10,000.
“Alan, in our 37 years of marriage never spoke to me like that, never said a word,” she told News Corp.
“I never even knew about this [scene] but when I saw that I nearly died. I heard it and it gave me such a shock, I turned it off. I thought ‘oh my god’ and then of course people started ringing me. I was at lunch yesterday with the girls and they were saying ‘what are you going to do?’ and I said ‘I’m so shocked I don’t know what to do’. It’s just terrible,” she said.
She disputed the portrayal of Bond as a true story.
“If it is why haven’t the family been consulted? Alan in our 37 years of marriage never spoke to me like that.”
Last month Nine and Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder issued a grovelling apology to Gina Rinehart after she took legal action of fabrication in The House of Hancock.
The outcome ensured the drama would never again see the light of day.
ABC previously settled a deal over Paper Giants with the former husband of Ita Buttrose when he challenged its accuracy.
But controversy also helps elevate the profile of new projects before broadcast.
