EastEnders' Christmas Day features a terrible car crash (and Bobby Beale may be responsible)

eastenders

Christmas Day in Walford is rarely merry, with EastEnders famed for its gloomy festive storylines.

This year, disaster will descend on the Mitchells and the Beales as they sit down for Christmas dinner.

A Christmas trailer and new pictures reveal murderous Bobby Beale (Eliot Carrington) will be at the centre of the drama again as his family try to work out what to do with him – after he killed his sister Lucy.

In the trailer, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) raises a glass of champagne, saying: “To friends and family.”

But with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) and Ian desperate to protect Bobby, and Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) determined to keep her own family safe, the two families are soon at each other’s throats.

As the adults argue, they don’t realise that hostilities are rising between Bobby and Sharon’s son Denny Rickman (Bleu Landau).

This leads to a devastating – and perhaps deadly – car crash.

In the trailer, Ian is seen rushing out to a forest with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who screams: “Dennis! Bobby!”

Sharon is shown grabbing Bobby, demanding to know what he’s done with her son, and then marches over to the police, telling Ian his son is 'not right'.
