Don't Worry, Gilmore Girls Fans: Vanessa Marano Hates April Nardini Just as Much as You Do Nardini: It's the one name that will send Gilmore Girls fans into a tailspin.

The 12-year-old girl who arrived in Stars Hollow in season six and promptly broke Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) up after it was revealed she was the diner owner's daughter is pretty much universally reviled by fans of the beloved series, and with news of Netflix's planned revival still all any self-respecting TV fan can think about, the fear that a grown-up April might be around to muck things up again is very real.

While we have no intel on whether she'll be involved or not, we can report that April herself, Vanessa Marano, hears your hate loud and clear. And get this: She agrees.

"That poor, poor 12-year-old fictional character was hated, which I get," Marano, who now stars on ABC Family's Switched at Birth, tells E! News. "I kind of hated April Nardini, too, as a fan of the show. She broke up Luke and Lorelai!"

Despite all the ill will towards April, Marano admits she's hoping she'll get the chance to return to Stars Hollow, though. "I have no information on it right now," she says. "I really hope they're bringing my character back because I'm such a fan of the Gilmore Girls that...I just want to be able to nerd out more."

Marano's found herself in the unique position of being the common thread in a pair of series revivals, something that hasn't gone unnoticed. "I mean, between The Comeback coming back last year and Gilmore Girls coming back, I feel like my career as a 12-year-old is being revived," she tells us with a laugh. (Marano appeared as Franchesca, Valerie Cherish's step-daughter, in the HBO comedy's first season, though she didn't reprise her role in the revival last year.)

What are your thoughts on April, Gilmore Girls fans? Should she be involved in the revival? Or are you hoping she's nowhere to be found? Sound off in the comments below!
