Happy Friday indeed! Not only did we get a new Adele single and the full trailer forMarvel's Jessica Jones, but now CBS has picked up Limitless for a full season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This should come as no surprise sinceaccording to TV.com's own 4-Episode Test, Limitless is "far and away the best new broadcast show of the fall."
The series, which is based on the 2011 feature film that starred Bradley Cooper, is the second-most-watched freshman show of the fall. When time-shifted viewing is accounted for, Limitless is averaging 11.43 million viewers and a 2.4 rating in the coveted 18-to-49 demographic. The series stars Jake McDorman (Greek) and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter).
The good news wasn't limited to Limitless, though. CBS has also asked for six more scripts of the Marcia Gay Harden medical drama Code Black. Good for you, Code Black. I knew that someone would eat up your manipulative drama.
In addition to Limitless, Blindspot, Quantico, Rosewood, and Dr. Ken have all been picked up for full seasons.
Limitless airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS. Code Black airs Wednesdays at 10pm.
