Bill Paxton Joins CBS's Training Day Pilot

CBS's Training Day pilot is, like the film it's based on, all about good cop/bad cop, and the potential program has found its bad cop. According to DeadlineBill Paxton will take the role that was kinda sorta played by Denzel Washington in the film, marking his first regular role on a TV series since he dealt with multiple wives in HBO's polygamy drama Big Love.

This version of Training Day will be set 15 years after the events of the film and do a race-flip on the two leads. Instead of an older dirty African-American LAPD cop and an idealistic young Caucasian male cop, the new Training Day will feature an older dirty white cop (Paxton) and an idealistic young black cop who gets tempted by corruption. The role of the younger cop has yet to be cast.

Paxton has also appeared in History's Hatfields & McCoys and ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the first thought that should go into your head when you hear the name Bill Paxton is "Game over, man!" from his iconic role in Aliens.

Who would you cast as the younger cop?
