Prepare yourselves for a lot more face time with Neal McDonough. The actor, who joined the cast of Arrow this season as the villain Damien Darhk, will be crossing over to both of the show's spin-offs, according to ComicBook.com. That's three-times the McDonough we thought we were getting. And while he's absolutely delightful in the role, you have to wonder if these crossover appearances will feel totally organic or whether the writers are shoehorning him in because he's a baller dude and they wanted to use him as much as possible.
Of his time on The Flash, McDonough said, "I'm just this crazy, fun, enjoy everything while I kill everybody type of character. It's just nuts." Which, okay. Sure. That doesn't tell us much, but it could be fun! I like that!
But it sounds like he may have more to do on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which premieres at midseason and brings together characters from both Arrow and The Flashto confront an unstoppable, immortal threat. "I look exactly the same in 1975 but you see he’s not as confident, and doesn’t have such an agenda … as he does now," he said. It's possible his character may somehow be connected to Vandal Savage, the show's big bad, if you will.
What do you think? Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing?
