Check another name off the list of prestige comics that need to be adapted for television. FX is working on a small-screen version of Y: The Last Man with creator Brian K. Vaughan on board to help smooth out the transition, says the know-it-alls over at the Hollywood Reporter.
The project is in the way, way early stages of development, and FX is looking for a writer and director should it get past the pen-and-paper phase. Y: The Last Man has floated around at various studios, most notably in 2014 when it was being targeted as a feature film.
In the comics, Yorick Brown is the last man on Earth after a plague wipes out the rest. Along with a capuchin monkey named Ampersand, Yorick sets out to find out what happened to the rest of the males.
Let's hope that if Y: The Last Man goes to series, it's better than Vaughan's last project: Under the Dome.
Would you watch an adaptation of Y: The Last Man? And who would you cast as Yorick?
