"American Idol" alum and Australian singer-songwriter Michael Johns died Friday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 35-year-old, who made it all the way to the finals in season seven of the reality-TV competition, is believed to have died due to a blood clot in his ankle.
Over the weekend, as news of Johns' death broke, "Idol's" original trio of judges — Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson — as well as former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, offered their reactions and condolences.
