Adult Swim is keeping it weird and keeping it incredibly funny. The Turner-owned network has renewed the hilarious animated comedy Rick and Morty for Season 3, it announced Wednesday. The show's long-awaited second season debuted July 26.
TV.com recently called the series "one of the best, most ambitious comedies," and we like to think co-creator and executive producer Dan Harmon would agree with that statement. "It's an honor to see Rick and Morty join the exclusive club of shows with over nineteen episodes," he said in a statement. "It's time to demand that the network allow us to draw the characters going to Hawaii."
"I am blown away by the seemingly instant success of Rick and Morty," added co-creator and executive producer Justin Roiland. "I look forward to continuing their adventures!"
For those of you (you know who you are!) who still haven't found this gem of a series, the comedy follows the cross-dimensional adventures of its titular characters, a drunken mad scientist and his loyal companion and grandson. Please rectify your mistake immediately.
Rick and Morty airs Sundays at 11:30pm on Adult Swim.
