ABC has released its fall schedule in conjunction with its annual Upfront presentation in New York on Tuesday, and although it looks similar to the current lineup, there are a few notable changes. Entering its fourth season, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will move to 10pm on Tuesdays, a timeslot notoriously known for being a garbage fire in the ratings department. The move will allow a new two-hour Tuesday night comedy block to form, with reliable veteran series The Middle moving from Wednesdays to lead it off. Sliding into Castle's now vacated timeslot Mondays at 10pm will be the Hayley Atwell-led dramaConviction (R.I.P. for real Marvel's Agent Carter).
Elsewhere, the network has tweaked its Thursday lineup by replacing Scandal at 9pm (the drama will be held until midseason to accommodate Kerry Washington's pregnancy) with the new drama Notorious. New dramas Time After Time and Still Star-Crossed, a Romeo and Juliet-inspired ShondaLand show, are also being held for midseason, along with new comedies Downward Dog and Imaginary Mary. Meanwhile,American Crime and The Catch will also return at midseason.
